Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) course:
This 6 week course provides fundamental skills on core trade topics to include marketing, finance and logistics. Attendees include new to international business or seasoned professionals. Hosted and in partnership with Nazareth College. this is a Certificate Course with a national accreditation exam taken separately (optional). CEU credits available.

July 15: Using Foreign Trade Zones

Aug 13: NAFTA and Rules of Origin
The North American Free Trade Agreement and its Rules of Origin remains an obstacle for companies to comply. If your company fills out a NAFTA Certificate for your cusotmers, you MUST attend this seminar to make sure you are doing it correctly! Incorrect documents that are filed are a violation of the NAFTA treaty and Customs penalties apply.

    SEPT 10: Fundamentals of Letters of Credit Letters of Credit are the most common form of payment in international transactions and the most frustrating. Are you constantly being hit  with discrepancy fees? Did you know that you do not have to accept an issued LC? This seminar will teach you how to understand the components of LCs and how to comply and be paid! Bobby Uy, VP Global Trade Services and International Payments at Keybank will provide insight from the banking side and risk mitigation solutions. Laurie DeRoller, Executive Director of the IBC will go through an actual LC and how to read your LCs. UCP600 will also be discussed. Afterwards, join other IBC members for networking

TWO DAY EU COMPLIANCE REGULATIONS EVENT
SEPT 18: EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibilty) complianceSponsored by Rochester Institute of Technology

This program will focus on EMC regulations compliance issues that US manufacturers must conform to for export of US manufactured products to the EU. CE marking and China's CCC system for electromagnetic compatibility and product safety regulatory compliance regulations will be discussed.
