SYRACUSE, N.Y. (June 28, 2012) – MedTech, the hub of Upstate New York's bioscience and medical technology industry, will hosts its 2012 annual conference—MEDTECH 2012—at the Hyatt Regency in Rochester, N.Y. on Monday, Sept. 24 and Tuesday, Sept. 25.
MEDTECH 2012 is the premier leadership conference and technology showcase of Upstate New York's bioscience and medical technology industry. The conference fuses the region's abundant capabilities and expertise into a full, energetic gathering of 300 talented professionals.
MedTech's annual conference covers many aspects of current trends, issues and best practices across the Bio/Med industry. This year's conference theme, "The Upside of Change: Succeeding in the Face of Uncertainty," represents the opportunity for attendees to consider their individual roles in the transformation of healthcare. MEDTECH 2102 sessions will address the pressing issues that keep industry professionals up at night: the weak economy, access to capital and healthcare reform.
"MEDTECH 2012 will highlight New York's vibrant Bio/Med community and explore the opportunities that significant industry and healthcare changes will present in the next three years," said Heather Erickson president of MedTech.
David Eilers, VP of Business Development for Blue Highway, Inc. and Medtech Board Member is leading the development of MEDTECH 2012. "It has never been more challenging to be a healthcare innovator. Since there are a myriad of practical and strategic issues to navigate, we've crafted the content of the Medtech's annual meeting to blend viewpoints from some of the nation's leading healthcare champions with interactive sessions on practical topics," said Eilers.
MEDTECH 2012 will feature plenary and concurrent panel sessions hosted by prominent leaders from across the bioscience and medical technology industry. The conference will also include a showcase of new product innovations and leading research from New York State. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies, resources, and current programs first hand. "I'm confident that everyone will walk away with a clearer picture of how their company-- whether large or small, emerging or start-up—can thrive in the changing healthcare marketplace," Eilers said.
