Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) is an economic development organization committed to attracting new capital investments and creating regional wealth and new jobs throughout the Greater Rochester, NY region.
The International Business Council of Greater Rochester, N.Y. (IBC), an affiliate of Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE), will host the 20th Annual Trade Banquet and Expo
Thursday, September 15 from 5-9 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Rochester, N.Y. The event provides an opportunity to network and an exhibition of resources to help local companies succeed in global trade. PAETEC CEO Arunas Chesonis will deliver the evening's keynote address, focusing on the positives of globalization.
"This event celebrates the benefits and successes of international trade in our region," said IBC Executive Director Laurie Ritter DeRoller. "If your business wants to capitalize on 95% of the consumer target market, it needs to go global. Every $180,000 of exports equals one job."
The IBC will honor three companies with the Greater Rochester Region's 2011 International Business of the Year awards for excellence in importing, exporting, and global strategy.
The cost to attend the 20th Annual Trade Banquet and Expo is $99 per person or $699 for a table of eight. Discounted rates are available for IBC members. Expo booths and sponsorships are also still available. To register or request more information, visit www.RochesterBiz.com/IBC or contact Laurie Smith at 585-530-6204.
