The Rochester Region has been named once again among America's 50 Hottest Cities for corporate expansions and relocations, according to Expansion Management magazine's annual survey, details of which are published in its January-February issue. The Region climbed 15 places since last year, and now ranks No. 35 on the list.
"To move up 15 spots in one year is a testament to all of the hard work and dedication that economic developers throughout the Rochester Region have done over the past 12 months," said Dennis Mullen, President and CEO of Greater Rochester Enterprise (GRE), an economic-development organization dedicated to revitalizing the Rochester regional economy. "This recognition is a sign that our marketing efforts are making a difference among corporate relocation managers and site consultants. We believe that with more aggressive marketing, we can climb even higher."
Expansion Management surveyed more than 80 site-selection consultants to find out which of the nation's more than 360 metropolitan statistical areas (MSAs) are most attractive to their clients. The top metro in the survey was Nashville, Tenn., followed by Phoenix and Atlanta.
