ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The International Business Council of Greater Rochester, N.Y. is hosting the Upstate New York Trade Conference Tuesday, June 21 – Thursday, June 23 at Genesee Community College in Batavia, N.Y. Held in conjunction with the United States Department of Commerce and the District Export Council, the conference will provide detailed information and insight into international topics and compliance matters that will help companies in the Greater Rochester Region maximize international trade opportunities. "Whether you are a company that is new to trade or a multinational corporation, the Upstate New York Trade Conference will help you increase revenue and create jobs," said IBC Executive Director Laurie DeRoller. On June 22, attendees will participate in breakout sessions focused on U.S. export controls and compliance, how to avoid an audit, and what to do when you make a mistake to ensure it's not a costly one. On the final day, one-on-one appointments with international trade experts are available. The Upstate NY Conference Expo will showcase the local resources available to businesses to succeed in international trade.
